five-O fishing Charters, LLC specializes in chasing the walleye bite from the early spring to the late fall season. For the 2023 fishing season, we will be focusing on the Saginaw Bay (Linwood Beach Marina / DNR Patterson Rd Launch- mouth of the Saginaw River) and the Lake Erie-Monroe area. In November, we move down towards Lorain, Ohio for the Walleye Slam tournament. This allows for our customers to maximize their bite success for a big 10 pound plus fish and chance at cashing in on prizes.
Early spring, we will typically be on Lake Erie for the pre-spawn action. This is the best time of the year to catch a one in a lifetime walleye. It is not uncommon to catch over a 8- 10 pound female . Although catching these big fish are great, we also believe in releasing them to spawn. The fishing is spectacular and we typically have no problem catching a limit. The choice is ultimately up to you whether you wish to keep a trophy.
On Lake Erie, we are close to the Ohio border which gives us the option of fishing from Michigan waters (Bolles Harbor/Sterling State Park) to Ohio waters (Turtle Island, West Sister Island, to Kelleys Island).
We are happy to take the beginner and experienced fisherman out for a fishing trip. The trip will be as hands-on as you would like.
